Infinix has officially launched the HOT 70 Pro in Nigeria, introducing a smartphone that combines interactive display technology, artificial intelligence (AI)-powered productivity features, 5G connectivity and IP68 water and dust resistance for Nigeria’s growing community of digital-first users.
The launch follows the company’s “Be Seen. Be Hot.” campaign and the unveiling of award-winning singer Qing Madi as the face of the new device, reinforcing Infinix’s focus on Gen Z consumers, creators and young professionals.
At the centre of the HOT 70 Pro is the Active Matrix Cube, a new interactive lighting system that goes beyond conventional notification LEDs by allowing users to personalise the device with pixel-inspired animations and customised lighting effects.
The system responds to incoming calls, charging status, music playback, timers and other notifications, while NFC Touch Transfer enables users to share custom animations and pixel art with compatible devices.
Infinix said the feature is designed to give users more control over how their smartphones communicate and reflect their personalities.

Beyond its aesthetics, the HOT 70 Pro introduces a suite of AI-powered productivity features aimed at students, creators and young professionals.
Among the built-in AI tools are FlashMemo for capturing lecture notes, Mind Hub for organising ideas, Scan-to-Document for digitising handwritten notes, AI Search, AI Writing Assistance, AI Translation, AI Class Timetable and the Folax AI Assistant, all designed to improve productivity and simplify everyday tasks.
The device is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 5G processor, enabling high-speed connectivity for streaming, gaming, online learning and content creation.
Infinix has also included UltraLink, a communication feature that allows compatible devices to stay connected over extended distances, even in areas with weak mobile network coverage.
To improve durability, the HOT 70 Pro comes with IP68 dust and water resistance, allowing the smartphone to withstand accidental splashes, heavy rain and dusty environments.
On the hardware side, the smartphone features a 50-megapixel Sony IMX882 AI camera, a high-refresh-rate display for smoother scrolling and gaming, and a large battery supported by fast-charging technology to meet the demands of heavy smartphone users.

According to Infinix, the latest addition to its HOT Series reflects the company’s strategy of combining intelligent software, premium-inspired design and accessible pricing for young consumers.
The HOT 70 Pro is now available nationwide through authorised Infinix retail stores, brand outlets and major online shopping platforms across Nigeria.
The launch comes as smartphone manufacturers increasingly integrate AI features into mid-range devices, making advanced productivity tools, intelligent imaging and personalised user experiences accessible to a wider consumer market.
