The Anambra State Government has launched a redesigned official website aimed at bringing government services, public data, citizen engagement and investment information into a single digital gateway.
The platform, available at anambrastate.gov.ng, is designed to move beyond the traditional role of a government website as a channel for publishing news and announcements.
It provides residents, businesses, investors, visitors and development partners with a central platform for accessing government services, information and digital tools.
Through the new website, users can access services including identification-related services, business registration and channels for reporting issues.
The platform also links users to Anambra’s digital government tools, including SmartGov services and NORA, the state’s digital assistant.
Another major feature is the integration of citizen engagement channels. Users can submit feedback, access grievance redress mechanisms and obtain information on Freedom of Information (FOI) requests.
Open Data And Government Information
The new digital gateway also includes an Open Government section, giving users access to a range of public financial and administrative information.
This includes state budgets, citizens’ budgets, budget implementation reports, audit reports, procurement plans, contract awards, open data, government documents and FOI information.
The move gives citizens and other stakeholders a central point from which to access government data that was previously spread across different channels.
For businesses and investors, the platform provides information on investment opportunities and the state’s business environment, covering areas such as ease of doing business, public-private partnerships, manufacturing, technology, real estate, agriculture and tourism.
The website also features information on Anambra’s people, culture and heritage, while connecting users to relevant government offices and digital systems across Ministries, Departments and Agencies.
The launch forms part of the state’s broader digital transformation agenda, as governments increasingly use digital platforms to improve how citizens access public services and interact with institutions.
Rather than requiring citizens to navigate multiple government channels, the new platform is designed to provide a more connected digital experience, bringing services, public information, feedback mechanisms and opportunities together in one location.
The Anambra State Government said the platform will continue to be expanded and updated as additional government services, information and digital tools are integrated into the state’s digital ecosystem.
