Konga has announced the launch of its June Mid-Year Shopping Festival, unveiling a nationwide retail campaign designed to provide consumers and businesses with discounted access to products amid rising economic pressures and changing spending patterns.
The month-long campaign features price reductions across multiple categories including electronics, computing devices, home appliances, groceries, fashion, beauty products, mobile devices and office equipment.
The e-commerce and retail platform said shoppers will enjoy special offers on products from major global brands including Samsung, HP, Lenovo, iTEC, L’Oréal and Unilever.
Beyond conventional discounts, the campaign will also include flash sales, treasure hunts, live auctions, bundled deals and free delivery on selected products across major Nigerian cities.
A major feature of this year’s campaign is the expansion of KongaNow, the company’s same-day delivery service aimed at improving fulfilment speed and shopping convenience.
Under the service, verified orders completed before designated cut-off times are eligible for same-day delivery, enabling households and businesses to receive essential purchases within hours.
The Mid-Year Shopping Festival comes at a period when inflationary pressures and higher procurement costs continue to influence consumer and business purchasing behaviour.
Konga said the campaign is positioned as a value-focused initiative designed to support households, SMEs and corporate organisations seeking more affordable access to quality products and operational tools.
By working directly with manufacturers and authorised distributors, the company noted that it can offer authentic products at competitive pricing while reducing intermediary retail costs.
For businesses planning procurement cycles in the second and third quarters of the year, the campaign presents opportunities to acquire enterprise hardware, laptops, smart office devices and other business infrastructure at discounted prices.
Consumers are also expected to benefit from lower pricing on smartphones, televisions, kitchen appliances, home electronics and lifestyle products, alongside bulk purchase offers on fast-moving consumer goods.
Group Head of Marketing at Konga, Victor Oluwaleye, said the initiative reflects changing consumer priorities around affordability, trust and convenience.
“In today’s economy, consumers are more intentional about value, affordability and trust. The Konga Mid-Year Shopping Festival was created to bridge that gap by giving Nigerians access to premium products at exceptional prices while ensuring convenience and reliability throughout the shopping process,” he said.
According to him, the campaign aligns with Konga’s broader strategy of supporting commerce through technology, logistics infrastructure, retail outlets and strategic partnerships.
Industry analysts say Konga’s integrated commerce ecosystem continues to differentiate the company within Nigeria’s competitive retail and e-commerce market.
Beyond its online marketplace, the company operates an ecosystem that includes payment services, physical retail stores, warehousing facilities, logistics operations and customer support infrastructure.
This omni-channel structure allows customers to shop digitally or access in-store assistance through Konga outlets nationwide, a model analysts believe has helped strengthen customer confidence and trust in Nigeria’s evolving e-commerce sector.
As inflation and cost pressures continue to shape spending patterns across Africa, retail campaigns such as the Mid-Year Shopping Festival are increasingly viewed as important interventions supporting affordability and commercial activity.
With expanded logistics capabilities, strategic global partnerships and customer-focused pricing initiatives, Konga said it remains committed to deepening access to quality products while strengthening its position as a technology-driven commerce platform in Nigeria.
