AVEVA, a global leader in industrial software, is set to host the maiden edition of AVEVA Day Nigeria on June 11, 2026, at Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos, as part of efforts to accelerate digital transformation across Nigeria’s industrial and energy sectors.
The event, themed “Driving the Transformation: Leveraging Digital Technologies and AI to Achieve Operational Excellence, Increase Efficiency and Reduce Emissions,” will bring together industry leaders, technology experts, engineering firms, and decision-makers to explore how emerging technologies are reshaping industrial operations.
The one-day conference will focus on the growing role of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Digital Twin technology, cloud-native industrial platforms, and connected ecosystems in improving efficiency, sustainability, and operational resilience across critical industries.
According to AVEVA, the event comes at a crucial time as Nigerian industrial operators face increasing pressure to improve asset reliability, reduce emissions, optimise costs, and unlock new growth opportunities, particularly in the energy sector.
The company noted that digital technologies have become key enablers for balancing economic growth with sustainability objectives, aligning with broader initiatives such as the African Union’s Digital Transformation Strategy for Africa (2020–2030) and Nigeria’s National Digital Economy Policy and Strategy.
Speaking ahead of the event, Vice President for Africa at AVEVA, Khaled Salah, described Nigeria as one of the most dynamic industrial markets in the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region.
“Nigeria’s industrial economy is one of the most dynamic industrial markets in the EMEA region. As industries navigate growing demands around efficiency, sustainability and resilience, technologies such as Digital Twin, industrial AI and connected ecosystems are becoming central to transformation strategies,” Salah said.
He added that AVEVA Day Nigeria is designed to bring global expertise closer to local industry leaders while demonstrating how the convergence of AI and industrial software can help Nigerian enterprises improve competitiveness and strengthen their position in global markets.
Also commenting on the event, Hanno Van Niekerk, Market Leader for Sub-Saharan Africa at AVEVA, said Nigeria possesses the resources, scale and industrial ambition required to emerge as a leading industrial and energy hub on the continent.

“Nigeria has the scale, resources and industrial ambition to become one of Africa’s leading energy and industrial hubs. Continued investments in infrastructure, energy and industrial development place the country in a strong position to drive sustainable economic growth and improve energy access,” he said.
Van Niekerk noted that AVEVA remains committed to supporting organisations through digital innovation that enhances operational performance, accelerates transformation and advances sustainability objectives.
The event will feature keynote presentations, technical sessions and interactive roundtable discussions designed to address key industry challenges and opportunities.
A keynote presentation by Gaurav Panpaliya, Enterprise Architect at AVEVA, will explore how AI-enabled Digital Twins are helping industrial organisations move towards autonomous and sustainable operations, supported by real-world examples from global energy companies.
Participants will also engage in specialised discussions across three strategic focus areas:
- Design & Build Track, targeting engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) firms, project developers and capital project teams.
- Operate & Optimise Track, covering process optimisation, enterprise visualisation, asset reliability, predictive analytics and AI-powered operational efficiency.
- IT/OT and Data Management Track, focusing on industrial intelligence platforms, data integration and next-generation connected operations.
The event will also provide attendees with insights into AVEVA’s CONNECT Industrial Intelligence Platform and other solutions designed to help organisations improve collaboration, accelerate decision-making and optimise industrial performance.
AVEVA said the conference will include customer success stories, partner showcases and technical demonstrations aimed at helping businesses better understand the practical applications of industrial AI and digital transformation technologies.
As industries across Africa increasingly embrace data-driven operations, AVEVA Day Nigeria is expected to serve as a platform for knowledge exchange and collaboration among stakeholders seeking to drive operational excellence, sustainability and long-term growth through technology.
