Founder’s Weight 2.0 has reinforced its growing reputation as a platform for practical entrepreneurial learning and peer support, bringing together more than 50 founders, entrepreneurs, operators, and business leaders in Lagos for an afternoon of business-focused conversations and strategic networking.
The event attracted over 150 registrations, highlighting increasing demand among Nigerian entrepreneurs for platforms that provide actionable business insights, access to experienced operators, and opportunities for meaningful collaboration.
Founded by entrepreneur and business strategist Dera Ndidigwe, Founder’s Weight was established to bridge the knowledge and experience gap between emerging entrepreneurs and seasoned business executives. Unlike traditional motivational events, the platform focuses on addressing real business challenges through practical discussions, shared experiences, and solution-oriented engagement.
The interactive panel session featured a lineup of accomplished business leaders, including Michael Williams, General Manager of EbonyLife Place; Chuka Xavier Obi, Chief Creative Officer of R.I.O.T; Kelechi Nwaozuzu, General Manager of Café One; and Dera Ndidigwe, Founder of Founder’s Weight and Dera Culture.
Discussions centered on critical aspects of business growth and sustainability, including cash flow management, leadership development, brand visibility, talent acquisition, scaling strategies, and the psychological pressures associated with entrepreneurship.
Speaking on the vision behind the initiative, Ndidigwe emphasized the need for entrepreneurs to have access to honest and practical conversations beyond motivational rhetoric.
“Founders need more than motivation. They need access, perspective, and honest conversations. Most importantly, they need closed-door rooms where they can ask the vulnerability-driven questions they cannot ask publicly and receive practical guidance from people who have walked the path before them,” he said.
Participants described the event as insightful and impactful, with several attendees expressing interest in becoming more actively involved in the growing Founder’s Weight community.
One participant, Innocentia, noted that the experience extended beyond networking and inspired deeper engagement with the initiative.
“I had an incredibly insightful session at Founder’s Weight today. Are there volunteer opportunities available? I am open to participating as a team member and supporting the initiative in subsequent gatherings,” she said.
Organisers said the feedback reflects the collaborative culture Founder’s Weight is building, where entrepreneurs are encouraged to learn from one another, share experiences, and collectively navigate the complexities of business growth.
The event was supported by strategic partners including Kiah Visuals, Reisty, The Truth Corporate, and Golden GFX Studios.
Following the success of its second edition, Founder’s Weight is positioning itself as a growing hub for founder-focused learning, entrepreneurial mentorship, and peer-to-peer support within Nigeria’s evolving startup and business ecosystem.
