Radisson Hotel Group has introduced a new ChatGPT-powered application designed to make hotel discovery and booking easier through conversational artificial intelligence.
Developed in collaboration with Accenture, the app is available as RadissonHotels on ChatGPT, enabling travellers to search for hotels, compare accommodation options, check live room rates and explore amenities using natural language instead of navigating traditional booking websites.
The service gives users access to more than 1,000 Radisson properties across over 100 countries.
Travellers can begin a ChatGPT conversation by mentioning RadissonHotels and describing the type of accommodation they need. For instance, a user can ask for a family-friendly hotel in Amsterdam or request a hotel close to the Eiffel Tower in Paris with facilities such as a gym and spa.
The chatbot then presents suitable hotel options, complete with live room availability, pricing, amenities, location details and interactive maps. Once a preferred property is selected, users are redirected to the Radisson Hotels website to complete their booking.
AI reshaping travel planning
The launch reflects a broader shift in the travel industry as more consumers rely on artificial intelligence to research destinations and accommodation before making travel decisions.
Radisson said the new application forms part of its strategy to improve how travellers discover its hotels through AI-powered conversations rather than depending solely on conventional search engines and online travel agencies.
The company described the approach as “agentic commerce,” where AI assistants help users discover, compare and choose services through natural conversations.
“Artificial intelligence is radically transforming how people search for and book hotel stays, and we are committed to being at the forefront of this shift,” said Gianni Di Fede, Chief Commercial Officer at Radisson Hotel Group.
He noted that the collaboration with Accenture is aimed at creating a more intuitive hotel discovery experience that allows travellers to find, compare and reserve Radisson properties more easily during the trip-planning stage.
More features on the way
The ChatGPT application connects directly with Radisson’s hotel systems, providing travellers with real-time information on room availability, pricing and hotel details.
Radisson and Accenture said they plan to expand the platform with additional capabilities, including personalised hotel recommendations, loyalty programme recognition, reservation management, trip modifications and concierge services.
The application was built using Accenture’s AI Merchant Center, a platform designed to help businesses optimise digital content and booking systems for conversational search and discovery.
Growing demand for intelligent travel assistants
The launch comes as interest in technology-assisted travel planning continues to grow worldwide.
According to Accenture Consumer Pulse Research, 87% of travellers are open to using intelligent travel assistants to find suitable travel options, while 71% expect the technology to influence at least half of their spending on hotels and airline bookings over the next year.
The new service also strengthens Accenture’s broader partnership with OpenAI, which focuses on helping businesses integrate advanced technology into customer experiences and business operations.
As conversational technology continues to reshape how people search for products and services online, hospitality companies are increasingly positioning these tools as a key channel for customer engagement and bookings.
